One of the oldest ensembles in the Performing Arts program, Sistas Only was created in response to the argument that United Brothers (UB), a male-led step team, could not be the sole representation of a school with a majority female student body. Since its founding, Sistas Only has become a powerful force of sisterhood, strength, and resilience, using step and movement as a means of empowerment and expression.
For several years, the team has been led by Willie Butterfield (Class of 2014), a Randolph alum and former United Brothers member. As Teaching Artist Willie brings his expertise in step, rhythm, and performance to continue the legacy of Sistas Only, ensuring that every stomp, clap, and call carries the weight of history and the power of unity.
Through precision, passion, and purpose, Sistas Only continues to be a voice for young women at Randolph, proving that step is more than just movement—it’s a statement.
