Founded in 1997, United Brothers (UB) is the oldest ensemble in the Performing Arts program, originally inspired by the Million Man March of 1995. In its early years, UB hosted step shows open to multiple schools, creating a space for young men to showcase their talent, discipline, and unity through powerful, rhythmic movement. Today, UB remains a cornerstone of the program, continuing its legacy of brotherhood, strength, and excellence.
These past years, the team has been led by Robert Rutherford (Class of 2019), a Randolph alum and former UB member. Robert brings his firsthand experience and deep understanding of the team’s history to guide the next generation, ensuring that UB’s iconic chants, intricate footwork, and commanding presence remain as impactful as ever.
With their signature call—“UB!”—the team continues to inspire, uplift, and set the standard for precision and unity in step.
